By accessing or using Candy Ink Studio at mycandyink.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the platform. These Terms apply to all users including artists, shop owners, ambassadors, and clients.
Candy Ink Studio is a business management platform designed for female tattoo and permanent makeup (PMU) artists. Services include but are not limited to:
Candy Ink is a software platform only. We are not a tattoo studio, tattoo artist, or healthcare provider. We are not responsible for any tattoo or PMU services rendered between artists and their clients.
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use Candy Ink. By creating an account you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older and that all information you provide is accurate and complete.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You are fully responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at hello@mycandyink.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. Candy Ink is not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized use of your account.
Empower Plan — Free
No monthly fee. 10% processing fee added to client deposits. Artist may choose to pass this fee to their client or absorb it themselves.
CEO Pro Plan — $50/month
$50 billed monthly via Stripe. 5% processing fee on client deposits. 300 SMS texts included per month. $0.07 per text after monthly limit.
Studio Plan — $99/month
$99 billed monthly via Stripe. 5% processing fee per booking per artist. 500 SMS texts included per month per artist. $0.07 per text after monthly limit. Unlimited artists under shop umbrella.
All subscription fees are billed automatically to your payment method on file through Stripe. You authorize Candy Ink to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis. Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
SMS Overage Charges
If you exceed your monthly SMS allowance, overage charges are automatically calculated and billed to your Stripe account at the end of each billing month. You will receive a notification when you reach 80% of your monthly SMS limit.
Failed Payments
If a payment fails your account will enter a 3-day grace period. If payment is not resolved within the grace period your account will be automatically downgraded to the free Empower plan until payment is resolved.
Processing Fees
Processing fees of 5% or 10% are applied to client deposits at checkout. Artists may choose to pass these fees to their clients or absorb them. These fees cover payment processing costs and platform maintenance.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to your paid plan features until the end of the billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time.
Upon cancellation your account reverts to the free Empower plan. Your data, client information, and bookings are retained and remain accessible on the free plan.
Eligibility
Ambassador status is granted at Candy Ink’s sole discretion following a completed application and approval by our team.
Complimentary Plan Benefits
Approved solo ambassadors receive the CEO Pro plan ($50/month value) completely free for the duration of their active ambassadorship. Approved shop ambassadors receive the Studio plan ($99/month value) completely free for the duration of their active shop ambassadorship. These benefits are contingent on maintaining active ambassador status.

Compliance & Warnings
If monthly requirements are not completed by day 21 of the month a warning notification will be issued. If monthly requirements are not completed by day 28 a final warning will be issued. If monthly requirements are not completed by the last day of the month ambassador status will be paused and the complimentary plan benefit will be removed.
Individual shop artists who fail to meet requirements lose their own ambassador status only. The shop ambassador status and Studio plan are not affected. If the shop owner fails to meet requirements the entire shop loses ambassador status and all artists are moved to individual free Empower accounts with all data intact.
Reapplication
Ambassadors whose status has been paused may reapply immediately with no waiting period. All previously earned rewards are preserved.
Referral Rewards
Solo artist referral: referring ambassador earns $50, referred artist earns $50 after the referred artist’s first 10 completed bookings. Studio referral: referring ambassador earns $75, referred shop owner earns $50 after the referred studio’s first 10 completed bookings. Rewards are paid automatically via Stripe Connect to the ambassador’s connected bank account. Rewards are non-transferable. Candy Ink reserves the right to withhold rewards in cases of fraud or abuse. Referrals must be made through the ambassador’s unique referral link to qualify.
Content Usage Rights
By uploading content to the Candy Ink ambassador portal you grant Candy Ink Studio a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, and distribute your uploaded photos and videos across Candy Ink’s marketing channels including but not limited to social media, website, email marketing, and paid advertising. You represent and warrant that you own or have the rights to all content you upload and that such content does not infringe any third party rights.
Artist Data Ownership
All client data, booking history, and business information belongs to the individual artist. Candy Ink does not sell or transfer artist or client data to third parties.
Shop & Artist Relationship
When an artist joins a shop account the artist retains full ownership of their client data, bookings, and business information. The shop owner may view booking statistics and revenue data for roster management purposes. The shop owner cannot access individual artist client conversations. If an artist is removed from a shop or leaves voluntarily, all their data remains with them and their account converts to a free Empower plan automatically. The shop cannot retain any artist data following separation.
Client Relationships
Candy Ink is a platform that facilitates bookings between artists and their clients. Candy Ink is not a party to any agreement between an artist and their client. Artists are solely responsible for the tattoo and PMU services they provide including but not limited to quality, safety, hygiene, and compliance with local regulations and licensing requirements.
All payments processed through Candy Ink are handled by Stripe. By using Candy Ink’s payment features you agree to Stripe’s Terms of Service available at stripe.com/terms. Candy Ink does not store credit card information. All payment data is handled securely by Stripe.
Deposits collected through Candy Ink belong to the artist. Candy Ink processes these deposits on behalf of artists subject to the applicable processing fees outlined in Section 5.
You agree not to use Candy Ink to violate any applicable law or regulation; infringe the intellectual property rights of others; upload or transmit malicious code or harmful content; attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform; use the platform to harass, abuse, or harm others; create fake accounts or manipulate the referral system; misrepresent your identity or qualifications; or use the platform for any purpose other than legitimate tattoo or PMU business management.
Candy Ink reserves the right to terminate accounts found in violation of these prohibited uses without notice or refund.
All content, features, and functionality of the Candy Ink platform including but not limited to the website, templates, design elements, text, graphics, logos, and software are the exclusive property of Candy Ink Studio and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of any Candy Ink platform content without our express written permission.
Your content including portfolio photos, bio, and business information remains your property. By uploading content to Candy Ink you grant us a limited license to display and deliver that content through the platform on your behalf.
Your use of Candy Ink is also governed by our Privacy Policy available at mycandyink.com/privacy. By using the platform you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy.
Candy Ink is provided on an as-is and as-available basis without warranties of any kind either express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. We are not responsible for any loss of data, revenue, or business resulting from platform downtime or technical issues.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Candy Ink Studio and its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages including but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of data, or loss of business arising out of or related to your use of the platform, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the platform shall not exceed the total amount you paid to Candy Ink in the 3 months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Candy Ink Studio and its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses including reasonable legal fees arising out of your use of the platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
Candy Ink reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or any conduct we determine to be harmful to the platform or its users. Upon termination you will lose access to the platform. Your client data will be available for export for 30 days following termination.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in California.
Candy Ink reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. When we make changes we will update the Last Updated date at the top of this page. We will notify active users of material changes via email. Your continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
